is not visible. However, both exist and can be devastating.<\/h4>\n<br>\n<strong style=\"color:#2aa2c5;\">It is not for nothing that we nickname hypertension the <span style=\"white-space: nowrap; color:#2aa2c5;\">\u201csilent killer\u201d.<\/span><\/strong><br><br>\n\nAlthough it is generally not accompanied by any symptom, <strong>it is partly responsible for nearly 30% of deaths in Canada.<\/strong><br><br>\n\n<strong style=\"font-size:27px; line-height:35px;color:#2aa2c5;\">Help prevent and control high blood pressure at all stages of life.<\/strong><br><br>\n\nToday, the SQHA Foundation is reaching out to its institutional partners and community to help raise the <strong style=\"white-space: nowrap;\">$1.5 million<\/strong> , or <strong style=\"white-space: nowrap;\">$300,000<\/strong> <strong>per year for <\/strong><strong style=\"white-space: nowrap;\">5 years<\/strong >, which will enable it to achieve its essential objectives of prevention, screening High blood pressure affects overall 20% of the Quebec population and more than 50% people aged 60 years and over. A learned society serving Quebecers&#8230; and the entire French-speaking world Founded in 1992, the SQHA brings together over 500 healthcare professionals, researchers and partners committed to the fight against hypertension and its associated risk factors. It contributes to research, the transfer of knowledge to healthcare professionals, patients and the general public, and the establishment of hypertension-related health policies in Quebec, in order to ensure excellence in care.
